           Receives Forbes.com 'Best of the Web' Designation

The National Home Education Network is pleased to announce that its homeschooling site at http://www.nhen.org/ has been honored as a 'Best of The Web' honoree and has been included in the Forbes.com Best of The Web edition. This issue is currently on the newsstands and is also published on the Forbes.com Web site at: www.forbesbest.com

Forbes.com has chosen 300 superior Web sites in 45 categories, from brokers to corporate training, to include in its September 11 issue of Forbes.com Best of The Web. Such varied areas as collecting, toys, cars, new homes, alternative medicine, home schooling and short films have been included.

The National Home Education Network was created to encourage and facilitate the vital grassroots work of state and local homeschooling groups and individuals. It provides information, fosters networking and promotes public relations on a national level. It's web site, created to support this ongoing effort, includes pages tailored to the needs of new homeschoolers and to families homeschooling teens, support group and legislative information, message boards, media information and a host of other information pertinent to those seeking information about, and support for, homeschooling. The web site is expanded and updated regularly.
