NHEN Privacy Policy
1. NHEN will never sell or exchange members' names or email
addresses to any other party or organization, nor will it
supplement this information with information provided by 3rd party
providers.
Information which must be provided to become an NHEN member is:
- first and last name
- email address
(if joining online)
- state or country
All other information gathered is optional.
Project volunteers will be requested to submit additional
information.
2. Members can update, delete or deactivate personal
information from the NHEN membership database at any time by
contacting the membership chair at membership@nhen.org.
3. NHEN will never sell or exchange support group
information collected via our online form to any other party or
organization.
In order to be listed on the NHEN website, support groups are
required to submit information via our online form.
Information which must be provided by support groups is:
- name of group
- state and county (or country)
- focus
of group (for category searches)
- contact information
- description of group and requirements for
group membership
All other information gathered is optional.
4. Support groups can update, delete or deactivate personal
information from the NHEN website at any time by contacting the
support chair at support@nhen.org.
5. NHEN uses cookies only on the member forums which allows
the member to keep track of read messages. The cookie information
is not collected or analyzed in any way.
A cookie is a text file that sits on your hard drive. Cookies
are used to store and retrieve information on the client side of a
computer connection. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to
find out the identity of any member. You have the option to reject
the cookie, but if you do so you won't have access to private
areas of the site (i.e. subscribing or posting messages to a
community).
6. NHEN uses log files to track trends of activity. Log
files only capture IP addresses, browser types, and the time of
each page request. The identity of any visitor remains private.
7. This site contains links to other sites. NHEN is not
responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web
sites.
8. NHEN will notify members of any changes to its privacy
policy by posting a notice in the monthly newsletter, NHENotes.
