 Help NHEN Reach Out To Homeschoolers!

NHEN is a grassroots organization which depends on its members to help "spread the word." Any little bit that you can do, can help strengthen our national network of homeschoolers.

Forward Press Releases
NHEN newsletters and press releases will be posted here: http://www.nhen.org/news/include_newsrel_main.asp?IDCategory=3  Please forward these to your favorite email lists, message boards or newsletter editors.

Signature Lines
Consider putting NHEN in your signature or tag line from now until the end of August. (August is officially our Membership Drive Month, but a few extra weeks couldn't hurt!) Be sure to include the web address for NHEN: www.NHEN.org . Putting NHEN in your signature line means that every single time you post to an email list or message board, you are promoting awareness of NHEN and helping people find us.

Increase NHEN's Online Presence
Be sure to link to NHEN from your personal or support group website. If you run across a favorite homeschooling website and NHEN isn't listed in the links, send them a link to www.NHEN.org requesting that it be added. There's SO much at the NHEN website now, most webmasters will be grateful for the tip.

Email an Invitation to Join NHEN
We'd like all homeschool families, organizations and businesses to have the opportunity to join NHEN. You can help by sending our Invitation to friends, organizations, email lists and message boards, and by including it in your support group newsletter or other publication. This will print on more than one page, so isn't suitable for a flier.

Short Invitation to Join NHEN
For publications where space is at a premium, we have also provided a shorter version of the Invitation which you can email or print in a newsletter or post anyplace else where space is limited.

NHEN Brochures
Brochures are available for your local support group meeting, conference, library! Send your name, address, and an estimate of how many brochures you'll need to Info@nhen.org If you have a time deadline, be sure to let us know and we'll try to accommodate you.

Hand Out or Post Printed Fliers
This  Printable flier contains two pages of information. Page one is the information about NHEN, and page two has the membership form with a pre-printed address to mail it to NHEN. This flier is in Adobe PDF format. To view this brochure, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader, available as a free download. Also available is a single sided MS Word file NHEN Flier. If you need a printable copy of the NHEN membership form, click here. The advantage to using fliers is that you have them right away, and can print as many as you like.

For Your Local LIBRARIAN!
The NHEN website now has an entire area devoted to helping librarians understand how to best assist their homeschooling patrons. If you'd like to let YOUR local librarian know about this fabulous resource, please print this press release for librarians.

For Your Local (or favorite!) Newsletter Editor
The NHEN website now has an entire area devoted to the trials and tribulations of homeschool newsletter editors. Be sure to let your favorite editor know about this resource available to him/her. The press release (available soon) will describe the NHEN Article Clearinghouse, the newsletter database, and an extensive collection of answers to questions related to print, email, and web based newsletters. NHEN Offers Monthly Column
NHEN will provide a monthly article for local newsletters to use. Sometimes the piece will be about NHEN, sometimes about homeschooling trends we're seeing from a national perspective. The articles will be somewhat short, about 500-700 words. If you'd like to let NHEN have a column in your newsletter, please send this link to your local editor. Contact Promotions@nhen.org and we'll notify you as soon as each new article is available. Thanks!
