Homeschoolers win first and third places in National Geographic Bee!

Ten year old Calvin McCarter, the youngest competitor of the 55 geography bee hopefuls, won first place in the National Geographic Bee. The Michigan winner won a $25,000 college scholarship. Third place also went to a homeschooler, Erik Miller, 14, of Kent Washington, who won a $10,000 college scholarship.
